Yu's Lion Dance Sports Association of Chicago started in 2019 with the sole purpose and mission to preserve, promote, and pass down the Chinese art of lion dancing to the next generation. We represent the Chicagoland area as a member of the USA Dragon and Lion Dance Sports Association.
What We Do
Classes
Our goal and mission is to preserve the Chinese cultural art of lion dancing by teaching and passing down this artform to the next generation. We start off with the basic foundations and fundamentals of lion dancing which include stances, music, and lion head movements.

Performances
The lion dance is an integral part of Chinese culture, symbolizing good luck and prosperity. Having a lion dance is a great way to honor one's cultural heritage. We offer lion dance services to bring blessings, good luck, and joy to you and your guests on your special day and occasion.
About
Jason Yu
Jason started to learn kung-fu and lion dance along with his younger brother, Benjamin, at a very young age. He has experience performing at weddings, grand openings, schools, corporate events, and cultural festivals in Chicago and the Chicagoland area. While he has a passion for teaching this Chinese cultural art to the next generation, Jason does not claim to know everything and continues his own journey as a lifelong student of lion dancing - continually learning, training, and growing in the understanding of this art.
